About us
Moslavačka priča is a family story that has grown from love towards the homeland and the good old times.
Holiday homes that have been transported in their original state from the neighborhood, centennial furniture highly restored in style, family photos from the previous century – they all tell this Moslavina story of ours.
Two restaurants, situated by the pond and in the heart of the forest make up the gastronomic part of Moslavačka priča. On the estate of Moslavačka priča there is a chapel that Mr. Stjepan Martinac, the owner, had built, and it was intended to be:

Family story
The Martinac family from Obedišće is an example of cherishing togetherness, harmony, and love through generations. They show and unselfishly share part of their family history through Moslavačka priča.
So dear guests, let us tell you the story of the Martinac family from Moslavina who are responsible for the making of our and your Moslavačka priča. It is told by Mr Stjepan Martinac, the person most responsible for its creation, a private entrepreneur and a devotee of Moslavina – his birthplace, an admirer of antiquity, cultural and historical heritage, a hunter, and first and foremost – a husband, a father and a grandfather.
My life began in Obedišće, a place in Moslavina, in a family that, like most of the families at that time, lived on a farm, and was engaged in agriculture, cattle breeding, fruit, and wine growing. My wife Katica, also from Moslavina (Donja Vlahnička), lived in similar conditions. A lot of hard work and commitment have kept the family together; we have cherished family values , healthy work habits, love towards the land and animals, and love for the homeland and region we have lived in. The fruits of hard work were appreciated, which was shown at the time of church holidays celebrated according to ancient Christian traditions of our region. Such an approach to life in early childhood has formed my life attitudes and led me through my education and work. When I started my private business related to production, I often thought about the reconstruction of an old house in the countryside into a place of my own vacation and gathering of my family, children, and grandchildren.
After family gatherings and long conversations with my wife, evoking the past emotions, the idea of a small “estate” in nature slowly started to rise.
As a hunter and an animal lover, I wanted other people, too, to have an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the forest and wild animals that roam freely in the natural environment. In one of the many walks in the area of Gaj in Mala Ludina, my idea “got” the location bit by bit, came true step by step, and reached its final appearance. In many of my travels through Croatia, I have collected antiquities, each of which has its own story, and together with my wife, I have put together the mosaic of our new life story.
In the quietness of our Gaj and its natural beauties, in restored old houses with the high standard interior, restored antique furniture, paintings, and all the other details; in the hunting lodge and hunting stands, we wanted to offer an unforgettable vacation with culinary specialties and Moslavina drinks so that we could, in the words of Oleg G. Lasunski, return ‘’the interpersonal debt in the relation hometown-homeland-humankind as a link in the unique and unbreakable chain“.
I nside the houses you can see family photos from the previous century, traditional costumes and tools used in Moslavina, or simply enjoy their coziness and intimacy.
Sitting by the pond in the middle of our estate you can observe wild ducks swimming in the pond, fish for carp, or watch the gentle hills of Moslavačka gora with numerous family vineyards. There are ruins of old towns of our region hidden in the wooded heart of those hills, as well as freshwater springs and numerous hiking trails.
When strolling through the forest you can rest on several hunting stands and thereby observe and take photos of the animals, sit in front of a Hunting lodge or have a delicious meal inside. If you get thirsty, feel free to open the tap and have a glass of water, the pure drinkable gold of our Moslavina.
If you wish to spend your vacation in peaceful surroundings of the forest, flowers, and animals, with excellent food and drinks, situated in old houses with all the comfort and superior equipment, visit Moslavina, come to Moslavačka priča and experience your own story, which you will pass on to your family and friends.
